Who we are...

Cutter Solar is a family-run business, combining an expert knowledge of electrical installations, with a passion for renewable energy and positive environmental upgrades. The Cutter Solar brand is owned and managed by Tom Cutter, and is a sister-offshoot of Cutter Electrical, established by Tom's Dad, Phil Cutter in 1982.

Tom started working as an electrician for the family business in 1995 and went on to form Cutter Solar in 2005.  Cutter Solar has a unique approach to managing domestic and commercial energy efficient installations; not only can we design a standalone Solar PV system for example, but we can also comprehensively analyse energy usage and recommend combined upgrades which serve to reduce energy demand, implement energy self-generation and minimise long-term costs. This makes our installations more efficient than our competitors, and more suited to the use, profile and limitations of your specific needs.

Our team is led by Tom and Phil,  and includes our trusted, employed installers, and our administrative team. The family's ethos, which is applied daily to the business, is to deliver the most cost-effective, highest quality system possible, but to give the customer a choice of reputable systems. This means we have not tied ourselves to one brand, instead building relationships with all the market-leaders, gaining access to quality products, with different outputs and price points.
